Angel Skin Care is a popular brand of natural sunscreen that’s been around for decades.
But a new study says it’s been under-labeled in some markets.
The company, which sells a variety of products, is now in the midst of a major overhaul to the sunscreen label.
According to the study, it was only recently that Angel Skin was given a better rating than the other brands it was listed alongside.
“Angel Skin’s reputation is built on its reputation for delivering quality products and innovative technology,” Angel Skin’s director of corporate communications, Heather Oster, told ABC News.
“But now we are taking that to the next level.”
The study, conducted by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation, was released Monday.
It looked at Angel Skin products in the U.S. and Europe, and also the rest of the world.
According the study’s abstract, Angel Skin uses proprietary formulas to make its products better.
Angel Skin is the only brand in the industry to do so.
“Its products are more expensive than other brands,” said the study.
“They cost $1,000 to $1 and up compared to the average brand’s prices.”
In Europe, Angel and other companies were ranked as the second-most expensive brand in terms of price.
That is despite the fact that the average price of Angel Skin sunscreen in the United States was $10.40 a bottle.
In the U., the study found that Angel skin is more expensive to purchase than the rest, but the price of its products was higher than the average for the rest.
“This suggests that Angel and others in the sunscreen industry have been undervalued in recent years,” said Dr. Jennifer Schaller, director of the Health Metric and Evaluation Program at the Institute of Medicine, in a statement.
“In light of these trends, Angel has launched an industrywide change to its label that will provide greater transparency to the marketplace.”
It’s unclear what the changes will mean for consumers.
Angel Skin has not responded to ABC News’ request for comment.
